Folktale Week is a challenge I took part in a few years ago.

I really thought I could do the whole challenge… but I failed miserably, only answering the first theme, which was “lost”.

I tried something a little different and more pictorial. I had in mind books I’d read as a child, with illustrations that weren’t very detailed, but very expressive, as in Serge Mikhalkov’s Petit Chevreau entêté.

For this illustration I used Procreate on my Ipad Pro with acrylic brushes.

The result is just as I wanted it, steamy and wet, and I’m looking forward to continuing the story of this little penguin with the other themes.
